Emma Blackman
Emma is a Brooklyn-based video editor and colorist with roots in environmental advocacy. She earned a dual BA in Film and International Studies (Global Resources/The Environment), along with a certificate in Sustainability from the University of Iowa. She participated in the Climate Narrative Project, a special media arts initiative which seeks to train a new generation of "climate storytellers" led by award-winning journalist, Jeff Biggers. Before becoming a freelance filmmaker, Emma worked briefly with Greenpeace's video department in Washington, D.C., followed by the New Media Advocacy Project, a production company centered around Human Rights and Environmental Justice. Emma has spent the past six years working as a commercial video editor in New York while maintaining a collaborative relationship with environmental-driven organizations like Future Earth, ATMOS, and Parley.
